Project Overview: I successfully managed the Lock Screen Message Payload project from its initial ideation through to its successful launch. This project aimed to empower businesses by providing them with the capability to display custom text on the locked screens of iOS devices managed through SOTI MobiControl. This feature allowed businesses to improve their recovery processes, enhance branding and policy messaging, and bolster compliance efforts. The absence of lock screen customization for businesses had created several challenges, and our project sought to address these issues.
Project Description: The Lock Screen Message Payload project was a comprehensive solution designed to assist businesses in a variety of ways. Through this feature, organizations could easily display custom messages on the lock screens of their iOS devices. These messages could include critical information, such as "If Lost, Return To" instructions, contact details, asset tag information, or any other relevant text. This capability provided a valuable asset in ensuring a smooth recovery process for lost or stolen devices.
Key Objectives:
Enhanced Recovery Processes: The primary objective of this project was to enable businesses to improve the recovery of lost or stolen iOS devices by displaying relevant contact and return information on the lock screen.
Branding and Policy Messaging: The Lock Screen Message Payload allowed businesses to convey their branding and policy messages directly on the locked screens, reinforcing their corporate identity and ensuring that important compliance information was prominently displayed.
Streamlined Compliance Efforts: By displaying compliance-related information on locked screens, the project aimed to increase compliance adherence among users and promote a more secure and standardized device management process.
Key Achievements:
Customization for Lock Screens: The project delivered a user-friendly, customizable interface within SOTI MobiControl, enabling organizations to create and deploy lock screen messages with ease.
Improved Device Recovery: By facilitating the display of "If Lost, Return To" messages and asset tag information, we significantly improved the chances of lost devices being returned to their rightful owners, reducing the financial and data security risks associated with device loss.
Enhanced Branding and Compliance: Businesses that adopted the Lock Screen Message Payload feature reported a noticeable improvement in branding consistency and compliance adherence among their employees.
Successful Go-to-Market (GTM) Launch: The project was launched successfully, with extensive marketing efforts, training materials, and support resources made available to ensure a smooth adoption process by businesses.
